Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN license in Missouri Certifications: BLS (CPR) Certification Must-Have Skills/Experience: Flexible, collaborative, positive demeanor Description: Contractors who fail to comply with the Influenza Vaccination Policy will not be permitted to work on the premises. Individuals who do not receive the influenza vaccination due to an approved medical or religious exemption must wear a mask covering both nose and mouth during the influenza season when present at facilities. Masking will begin on November 1 and continue through March 31, unless data from the community indicates a later flu season. Travelers must submit a completed facility-specific exemption form if applicable. The inpatient rehabilitation hospital provides services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The facility incorporates unique features such as a specialized brain injury unit, dedicated stroke care unit, gymnasiums with high-tech therapy devices, and private, family-friendly rooms. Rehabilitation professionals provide exceptional patient care, focusing on improving individual functional ability and quality of life. A comprehensive treatment approach addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological components of each patient. Evaluation focuses on movement patterns, strength, flexibility, functional ability, balance, and tone. Therapists collaborate with physicians, specialists, and family members to support patients toward their rehabilitation goals. The patient population is primarily adults aged 18 years and older. Each nurse has a dedicated tech, and patient ratios are approximately 1:6 or 1:7 during the day and 1:8 at night. Required education includes a valid RN certification. Common diagnoses treated include a range of conditions related to rehabilitation needs.
