Registered Nurse – Operating Room (GYN/GU/Transplant)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Monday–Friday variation, 9:40–22:10, with weekend call requirement | Initial orientation period is Monday–Friday, day shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for GYN, GU, and transplant surgical procedures including kidney transplant, hysterectomy, nephrectomy, cystectomy, ureteroscopy, and procurements
- Assist with robotic-assisted surgical cases including Davinci Xi and urological and GYN robotic platforms
- Support laparoscopic gynecology, HOLEP, abdominal and laparoscopic hysterectomy, and anterior/posterior repair procedures
- Float to other units or areas as operationally needed
- Participate in orientation program during initial two-week onboarding period
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License required
- BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the applicable specialty
- Experience in Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and robotic surgery
- Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam (adult and pediatric) with a minimum score of 80%; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with organ procurement procedures
- Familiarity with high-acuity academic or teaching hospital environments
- Prior travel nursing experience in an OR specialty setting
