Registered Nurse (RN) - Trauma ICU - Nights

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights | 3x12 shifts | 36 hours per week guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing services within a 27-bed Beacon Designated Intensive Care Unit specializing in trauma and surgical patient populations
  • Care for patients presenting with a wide range of traumatic injuries including Spinal Cord Injuries, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Extremity Fractures, and Solid Organ Injuries
  • Support surgical patients including those recovering from Craniotomies, Craniectomies, and complex bowel surgeries
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure individualized patient outcomes across the full episode of care
  • Float to other areas of the organization up to competency level as needed; availability for major holidays and one additional shift per 4-week scheduling period required

Required Qualifications

  • Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
  • Minimum 2 years of Trauma ICU experience required
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • NIHSS certification through APEX

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • CCRN certification strongly preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment
