Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Shifts: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM / 6:30 PM–7:00 AM | Cyclic Scheduling | Every Other Weekend Required | 1 Major and 1 Minor Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced stepdown unit managing common diagnoses including heart failure, atrial fibrillation, respiratory distress, and stroke
• Titrate drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin per protocol
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips throughout each shift
• Monitor and troubleshoot CPAP equipment as needed
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 4 patients with support from patient care techs
• Float to ICU when appropriate and based on experience

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Must successfully pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher during orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a stepdown, PCU, or IMC setting
• Experience titrating cardiac drips and managing telemetry patients
• ICU experience or background that supports occasional float coverage
