Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) with variable night availability (19:00–7:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting within a teaching hospital environment
• Monitor and manage patients requiring conscious sedation, intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, telemetry, mechanical ventilation, and central line care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required by unit
• Float to other units or facilities as needed when qualifications are met

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand prior to start
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of PICU or relevant clinical experience
• Teaching hospital experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification
• Level 1 Trauma experience
• Experience with bone marrow transplant patients
