About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years required License: Must have a valid nursing license in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred Must-Have: Trauma Level I experience required Ability to circulate is required; scrub experience preferred Well-rounded knowledge in most surgical areas except CV and Transplant Description: This position requires a commitment to work every Saturday and Sunday, in addition to one rotating weekday each week. The registered nurse will be responsible for providing care in the operating room. Candidates should be comfortable with the stated schedule. Call shifts are required, with an expectation of six call shifts in a six-week period, which can vary. Floating within the scope of practice to meet facility needs is required. Candidates must have experience with a range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to general, plastic, gynecological, orthopedic, neurological, and trauma surgeries. The average daily census is between 70-80 patients. The facility accommodates 21 surgical rooms. Candidates must work two out of three major holidays. References are required prior to submission. The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and remain flexible in assignments is essential. This is a weekend-only position, with additional weekdays rotating into the schedule. Candidates will be expected to participate actively in all phases of surgical care, including preparation, circulation, and post-operative management. Travelers must have a background in complex and diverse cases. Applications from first-time travelers are welcome. Temporary licenses may be acceptable if permanent applications have been submitted.
