About the Position

Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Client Fetal Monitoring, NRP Advanced Must-Have: - Level IV trained Labor & Delivery nurse - Familiarity with Magnesium and insulin drips - Advanced NRP certification - Proficient in advanced external fetal monitoring Description: Level IV brand new Women's and Infants Hospital seeking a trained Labor & Delivery nurse. The unit consists of a 15-bed Labor & Delivery area, a 20-bed High-Risk Unit, and an 8-bed OB Triage. The position requires adherence to AWHONN guidelines, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-patient ratio in active labor and two patients in early, latent labor. Responsibilities include being a charge nurse in both the Labor & Delivery and High-Risk Units and serving as the baby nurse for deliveries. The nurse will work 36 hours per week, every third weekend, and participate in holiday rotation. A commitment to consistent attendance is essential, with no tolerance for calling in.
