About the Position

Description: The Emergency Department consists of a mix of staff. There are a total of 4 beds in a secure psychiatric area for holding patients. The unit has 25 procedure rooms and 8 hallway beds utilized 24/7. The patient-to-nurse ratio is generally 4:1, with flexibility during acute situations. The patient population includes individuals with multiple comorbidities, including complex cardiac conditions, diabetes, sepsis, trauma, and stroke. Typical procedures performed include trauma care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma care, and cardiopulmonary care. Candidates with at least one year of experience in an emergency department are preferred. A motivated and hard-working personality is essential. Creative problem-solving and a general desire to help and care for patients are key traits. Candidates must have certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. Weekend shifts will be required.
