About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required. License: RN license required. Must be in hand prior to start. Certifications: BLS, NRP required. STABLE highly preferred. Must-Have: Charge nurse experience preferred, Level 1 & 2 nursery setting experience required. Must be comfortable with delivery to discharge. Some Level 2 experience such as phototherapy, antibiotics, opioid withdrawal, and bubble CPAP is required. Description: Position available for a Registered Nurse in the Nursery specialty. The role requires working 3 shifts per week during nighttime hours. Ratios are 1 nurse to 6 patients. Every other weekend is required. No on-call shifts are required, but this could change based on unit needs. Travelers may be required to float within their scope to meet facility needs. Candidates must have 2 years of experienced nursing in the nursery setting. First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position. Candidates are required to have a SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license. Certifications in BLS and NRP are mandatory, with STABLE certification being highly preferred. Charge nurse experience is preferred for candidates. Candidates must have experience in Level 1 and 2 nursery settings, and must be comfortable with the processes from delivery to discharge. Some procedures may include stabilization and transfer of Level III babies and readmissions up to 28 days. Hurricane season considerations are applicable, as all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during this time. All time off requests must be included at the time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs.
