About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Proficient in EPIC Description: The Cath Lab RN will work three 12-hour shifts from 06:00 to 18:30, with the requirement for call duty. The role involves participation in STEMI calls. References are required with the submission. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience. First-time travelers are not eligible. Proficiency in the EPIC charting system is a requirement. The patient population includes adults undergoing invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Call is required every fourth weekend and one or two days during the week. Charting will be done using Epic-Cupid for log documentation and GE Mac Lab for hemodynamics in the Cath Lab. The department performs various procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, coronary angiography, and percutaneous coronary interventions. Other procedures include IABP insertion, Impella insertion, transvenous pacemaker insertion, TAVR, and TMVR. Special equipment and techniques are utilized for these procedures. Required skills include the ability to start IVs and manage telemetry, conscious sedation, and pulmonary artery lines. Candidates should be flexible with scheduling and willing to float within their skill set as necessary. DUI background checks are generally acceptable as long as there is no pattern. Only one extension of the contract is allowed before the traveler must take a break before returning. Travelers may be called off or placed on call once per pay period, with a callback requirement. Modules required for completion depend on the position specialty and will be recorded.
