About the Position

License: Active RN license in the state or a compact RN license that complies with guidelines. Certifications: Certifications may be required based on specialty. Must-Have: - Ortho experience is required. - Level I trauma experience is required. - Travel experience is required. - Large hospital experience is required. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specialized in Medical Surgical Ortho. This role requires a commitment to 48 hours per week on the night shift. The nurse will work with a team nursing ratio, and it is important to discuss this with the manager during the interview. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. On-call duties may be required as needed. Weekend coverage is also required as needed. Block scheduling is not accommodated, but weekend blocks may be considered. Local candidates residing within a 100-mile radius will not be accepted. All candidates must be in compliance with NLC guidelines prior to submission. Requested time off must be included at the time of submission, as late requests will not be honored. Candidates must be willing to work holidays if they fall within the assignment. Former staff must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler. Travelers who worked a full year must be away for one full year before returning. Floating may occur between like units or within specified parameters. The registered nurse must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience and should have completed at least one prior travel assignment. Experience with EPIC charting is preferred. A BSN is required for specific centralized staffing positions, while all other positions will accept an ADN.
