Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions
• Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and report changes in clinical status
• Manage wound care, pain management, post-operative recovery, and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards
• Respond effectively to emergency situations while providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
• Experience caring for medical, surgical, and post-operative patients
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
