About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of critical care experience required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS are required. Preferred: TNCC. Must-Have: Recent ICU experience within the last year. Description: Must work 2 of the 3 holidays during the contract period. References must be from a direct supervisor, not a charge nurse. Position requires strong ICU experience. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Clinician will float within the scope to meet facility needs. Registered Nurse must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. A skills test will be conducted for proficiency. Academic or teaching facility experience is required. Required skills include ventilator management, IV start, telemetry, and conscious sedation. Preferred skills include ICP monitoring and PA line management. Clinician is expected to float to all critical care units as needed. Patient ratios are 1:4 during the day and night shifts. The ideal candidate will have well-rounded ICU experience, including neuro ICU and another ICU specialty. Nurse-to-patient ratios will be 1:1 to 2 in critical care settings. Nurses will participate in managing initiatives such as infection prevention and emergency medications.
