About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 5 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience with DaVinci XI surgical system - Proficient in General, GYN, Urology, and Orthopedic total joint/sports medicine Description: The facility conducts interviews in the afternoons. Candidates must provide 2-3 time slots for interview availability. Experience with DaVinci XL is required. Local candidates may be offered a lower rate. Charge pay is available. Candidates must pass skills checklist in General, GYN, Urology, and Orthopedic total joint/sports medicine. Candidates should screen for proficiency in at least 3 out of the 4 specialties listed. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted. The candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Must have experience in circulating specific types of surgeries, including General, GYN, Urology, Ortho, Total Joint, and Davinci. No floating is required. Candidates may have a maximum of 40 hours of call in a 6-week period, with a 45-minute response time. Unit information includes a total of 8 operating rooms. Experience in charting systems required. Supervisory references are required. Breaks are mandated for travelers who have accrued certain travel employment durations. Candidates will need to float as required within the facility. Discrepancies in experiences such as trauma levels, community hospital backgrounds, or extended care experiences should be noted. Weekly schedules may vary based on an organization's needs. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration, including teams for IV therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy services. Candidates must be able to demonstrate competencies in specified surgical skills during the screening process.
