About the Position

Job Title: RN - Neonatal ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required License: BLS, NRP Certifications: Basic life support, neonatal resuscitation program Must-Have: - Basic ventilator management - Central line management - Pre/post-surgical management - Tracheostomy management - G-tube management - Basic breastfeeding skills - Bottle feeding skills - Gavage feeding management - Blood transfusion - Infant venous stick skills Description: Join our fast-paced Level IV NICU. We care for infants from 23 weeks and beyond, with varying degrees of acuity. The average daily census is 71 patients. You will provide care to infants with surgical needs such as necrotizing enterocolitis and congenital diaphragmatic hernia. You will have support from nurse assistants with a 1:20 ratio and two charge nurses each shift. You will float to general pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, adolescent pediatrics, and pediatric hematology/oncology. You will work every other weekend at minimum. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. Scrub color is royal blue.
