About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Telemetry interpretation - Management of cardiac, neuro, and Progressive Care Unit patients - Time management in a fast-paced environment - Strong teamwork and communication skills Description: Position available for an experienced Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit features 34 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. The staffing includes a charge nurse without assignment when census allows and patient care technicians available on each shift. Dedicated telemetry monitoring support is provided. Equipment utilized includes continuous cardiac monitoring, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and Alaris IV infusion pumps. The documentation system used is EPIC. There is a requirement for 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week period and holiday rotation is included. Floating within competency is expected. Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and adherence to patient-centered care standards. Certifications needed for the role include current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Dress code requires Caribbean blue scrubs.
