Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | Every other weekend required | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 29-bed general ICU within a Level 2 Trauma Center, maintaining patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
- Perform and assist with advanced procedures including intubations, central line placement, bronchoscopies, and bedside trach and PEG tube placements
- Manage ventilated patients, interpret ABGs, and titrate vasoactive drips with precision
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including CRRT (Primaflex), ECMO (Cardiohelp), Impella, IABP, Aleris pumps, GE monitors, and Edwards EV1000/CCO
- Document all patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float to ED or step-down units as needed per unit floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in vent management, ABG interpretation, vasoactive drip titration, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, or ABLS certification
- Experience with CRRT, ECMO, Impella, or IABP in a high-acuity ICU setting
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
- Burn center or cardiac program experience
