About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Holding Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:15 - 19:15) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active TN license or compact required Certifications: ACLS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience is preferred Description: This role involves caring for patients who are admitted and awaiting bed availability. Patients may be located in a designated area or possibly in a hallway. If there are no patients being boarded, nurses may assist in an acute care area, though this should be rare. The position requires working every other weekend and some holidays. Candidates will be considered based on previous experience. Nurses are expected to float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs. This position is open to accommodating block scheduling. Local candidates will be accepted. References will be required. Experience with the Cerner charting system is necessary. The selected candidates will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The daily census will vary based on patient admissions. Interdisciplinary support is available on the unit.
