About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of combined Labor and Delivery and Postpartum experience License: Active state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, BSN required Must-Have: Demonstrated competency in both Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Description: This position requires a nurse to be cross-trained and rotate among multiple perinatal units. The nurse must have two years of combined experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum. No time off requests will be accepted during the first three weeks of employment. The role requires availability to work based on unit needs, including potential holiday and weekend shifts. The nurse will support high-risk obstetric patients and those requiring unique care plans. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring maternal and fetal health, and assisting in labor processes. The nurse will participate in patient education and discharge planning for parents. Floating between different units is mandatory, which includes working in postpartum and other perinatal settings. Additional competencies include neonatal resuscitation and support for lactation. Candidates must be willing to meet the unit's scheduling and operational needs to ensure patient care standards are met.
