Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Travel)

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Floating and census flex on-call may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general Medical-Surgical inpatient nursing care with a patient ratio of 1:6
• Deliver nursing care to occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the unit
• Utilize the MedHost electronic medical records (EMR) system for documentation
• Participate in census flex on-call as needed prior to the start of a scheduled shift when census is low
• Float within the unit as required based on staffing and patient census needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must be registered with the state of New Mexico (agency registration required for fingerprint processing)
• Ability to comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements for all travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Prior experience with MedHost EMR system
