About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – CVICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU/CVICU) setting
• Monitor and manage critically ill cardiac surgery patients in accordance with unit protocols
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Complete required specialty-specific orientation modules within designated timeframe

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or a Compact State (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Minimum 1 year of CSICU/CVICU experience at a Level 1 facility
• EPIC electronic health record charting experience required – no exceptions
• Must adhere to natural nail policy as required by the facility
• 2 professional references required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac surgery or critical care environment
