Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• Manage and monitor patients requiring chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system to document and coordinate patient care
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
• Work 1–2 of 3 designated summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous RN experience in Med Surg, Telemetry, or Progressive Care
• Active Illinois RN state license required; Iowa RN state license required upon offer
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Valid Driver's License
• Taxable home address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one completed travel nursing contract
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
