Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
- Deliver care across all sections of the ED, including triage, cardiac monitoring, and internal processing areas, with flexibility to float within the department as needed
- Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
- Uphold patient experience standards including AIDET communication, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards updated throughout each visit
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including techs and unit clerks to support a multicultural patient population
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback while maintaining a strong teamwork mentality in a fast-paced trauma environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- The following certifications must be obtained prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Ability to work every other weekend; must meet departmental scheduling needs (block scheduling not available)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an HCA-affiliated facility
- Background working in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency environment with diverse patient populations
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
