About the Position

Familiarity with cardiac drips and insulin drips. Description: Unit profile includes 29 beds with an ideal patient ratio of 1:4, currently running at 1:5. The unit is supported by unit secretaries and patient care technicians. Equipment utilized includes Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital signs machines, bladder scanners, and vein finders. Documentation is completed in a specified system. Staff members float to areas of their competencies as required. Patient experience focuses on providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care. Staff self-schedule and collaborate to meet individual preferences, particularly for those who prefer night shifts. The therapeutic environment fosters teamwork and cohesion among staff. Patients receive vital sign checks every 4 hours, or more frequently based on condition. Blood glucose checks are performed as ordered, with required documentation and assessment each shift.
