About the Position

Number of beds: 40. Patient ratios: 1:7. Unit staffing description includes: 1 clinical nurse coordinator, 7 nurses, 4 patient care technicians, and 1 unit coordinator per shift. Type of equipment includes regular medical equipment for a medical-surgical unit. Documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requirements: 36 hours per week with rotating weekends. Floating policy: Contract labor is the first to float to like units. Patient experience requirements: 1+ years of experience in the specialty. Advanced skills are not required. Procedures performed on the unit include EKGs, glucose monitoring, and venipuncture. Dress code requires royal blue top and bottom. Unit guidelines and policies are to be attached.
