About the Position

Job Title: Oncology Infusion RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Thursday Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday 7:00 AM - Noon (usually done before that time) Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Experience in chemotherapy infusion Description: We are seeking a skilled Oncology Infusion RN to join our busy chemotherapy infusion unit. The role involves administering intravenous chemotherapy drugs and other types of intravenous therapies. You will provide pre- and post-treatment patient care. Responsibilities include assessing patients before IV treatments. You will be required to access ports or IV access peripherally for lab draws and IV therapies. Administering chemotherapy and other IV infusions is essential. You will operate the equipment and monitor patients during treatment. This includes administering prescribed intravenous medications as well as oral pre-treatment medications. Monitoring and responding to side effects or reactions and treating appropriately per protocols is crucial. Familiarity with Cerner and Intellidose (TxM) is a significant plus. Previous chemotherapy infusion experience is highly desirable. Flexibility with hours based on patient schedules may be necessary. Scrubs should be any solid color from Ceil Blue, Royal Blue, Burgundy/Wine, and Pewter Gray. The unit is in need of immediate assistance, and quick hires will be prioritized. Chemo certification is preferred, but experience in chemotherapy infusion will also qualify.
