About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hours Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience Natural hair color and no facial piercings Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance Description: This position requires expertise in telemetry nursing. Candidates must have experience in a medical/surgical and telemetry unit. Preferred experience with patients facing mental health challenges. Strong telemetry skills are essential. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:4. The emergency medical record system is Cerner. The shift is a 12-hour night shift with weekend and holiday requirements. Physical restraints are rarely used, while chemical restraints may be applied when necessary. The unit is monitored via video for patient safety. Education on lifts, restraints, and wound care will be provided. Staff will be expected to demonstrate competence in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. Overall patient care focuses on those with medical conditions and secondary psychiatric diagnoses. Average patient length of stay is 4 days. Cancellation of shifts may occur as per policy.
