About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Current RN license Certifications: - ACLS before start date - BLS before start date - PALS before start date - TNCC before start date - CPI before start date - NIHSS before start date - ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have: - 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency department setting - Teamwork mentality - Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback - Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This is a backfill opportunity. The facility is a flagship hospital, known for high clinical quality and patient safety. The hospital has received national recognition for its achievements in healthcare. It serves as a referral center for trauma and comprehensive stroke care. The emergency department has a typical patient ratio of 4:1. The department can accommodate patient ratios up to 7:1 on behavioral health holds. Technicians are available to assist in the department. The nurse will work with various types of equipment and a documentation system. Scheduling will require availability for every other weekend. There is a floating policy within different sections of the emergency department. Patient experience is a priority and staff are expected to engage with patients respectfully. Advanced skills and experience in a high-volume emergency department are desirable. The department values teamwork and a welcoming environment.
