About the Position

The job entails delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The role includes supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordination of care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment is essential. Key functions will include collecting relevant data about the patient's health or situation. Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues is required. Developing a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve outcomes is essential. Implementation of the care plan, coordination of care delivery, and use of strategies to promote health and safety are crucial. Evaluation of progress toward achieving outcomes is a primary responsibility. Outcomes for the patient’s situation must be identified. Collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and compassionate environment is necessary. The position includes providing learning opportunities for patients and their families. Direct health information provision to patients, families, and treatment teams is part of the role. Participation in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care is required. Appropriate delegation and coordination of duties among healthcare team members is expected.
