Job Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a local travel assignment within a long-term care setting. This role is responsible for delivering direct patient care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and supporting resident health and well-being during extended daytime shifts.

The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality nursing care while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents during scheduled shifts
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the supervising Registered Nurse
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Support implementation of individualized care plans
Assist with patient assessments and activities of daily living as needed
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Promote resident comfort, dignity, and quality of care
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff

Job Requirements

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (State of New Mexico or eligible for licensure)
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Current CPR/BLS certification required
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Ability to work the scheduled Wednesday Friday day shifts
Must provide valid state or federal-issued identification for facility access
COVID-19 vaccination compliance or approved medical/religious exemption required
