Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a focus on orthopedic and bariatric patient populations
• Administer and manage medications using the Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and cardiac observation
• Float to other like units or campuses as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete all required pre-assignment modules and testing within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers must have a minimum of 3 years of experience within the specialty
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience with EPIC EMR
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedic and/or bariatric patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
