Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Location: Midland, MI

Duration: 13 Weeks
Open Positions: 1
Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
On-Call: 1–2 nights per week

Job Details

• Assess patients before and during cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Provide leadership and coordination within the operating room team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, surgeons, anesthesia, and support departments.
• Assist with equipment preparation, sterile field monitoring, and anesthesia support as needed.
• Participate in staff education, preceptorship, and continuing education.

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent CVOR experience.
• Open Heart surgery experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Must be willing to float to the General OR.
• Active Michigan RN license at the time of submission.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Current CVOR skills checklist (completed within the last year).
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
• Candidate must live more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates are not accepted).
