About the Position

A virtual interview is required for all candidates. The Nursing Director will contact candidates within 24 to 48 hours to schedule the interview. The manager will accept either 3x12 or 4x12 shifts for nights. Patient ratios are typically 1:6 to 1:7. Every other weekend is required. Floating to meet facility needs is expected. Candidates must have travel experience. First-time travelers are not accepted. Candidates must complete all assigned modules prior to the start date. Attendance at staff meetings is required. Locals will be considered, but they will be accepted at a reduced rate. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. After two call-outs without a documented medical reason, the contract may be canceled. The facility has 97 staffed beds. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. The daily census averages 36 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes a variety of services such as physical therapy and pharmacy. Candidates should be aware that all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Hurricane season runs from June through November.
