About the Position

Job Title: IV Therapy RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: IV Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in IV/Venous Access team License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: - IV insertion - Ultrasound Guided IVs - PICC line insertion Description: IV Therapy Registered Nurses must achieve and maintain the required core IV Therapy skills and competencies for the department. Skills include peripheral IV insertion, CVAD dressing changes, and non-tunneled CVAD removals. The role also involves reconstitution, instillation, and removal of thrombolytics. Access and de-access implanted ports and reposition peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) as needed. Ultrasound guided IV line placement is essential. Patient population includes all ages: neonatal, infant, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Charting will be conducted using an electronic medical record system. All day shift positions are rotating. An active RN License and AHA BLS certification are required.
