Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Current unencumbered RN license required Certifications: Healthcare Provider Level BLS required Must-Have: AHA ACLS and NIHSS required Description: The Progressive Care Unit provides direct care for acutely ill patients who are moderately stable with an elevated risk for instability. The unit provides care through advanced knowledge and experience in a setting that includes advanced monitoring, assessments, and interventions. PCU and basic EKG experience is preferred. Verification of high school diploma or equivalent is required due to regulatory requirements for moderate complexity testing.
