About the Position
Job Title: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Profession: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Specialty: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience within the last 12 months in a similar unit required. Basic Dysrhythmia test must be passed in order to work in the unit. Description: The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed in order to work on the unit. The role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Care will be coordinated with other health team members. The candidate will effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. High-quality care will be provided to patients, including those with cardiac issues, stroke, vascular intervention needs, and hemodynamic monitoring. The estimated workweek is 36 hours, with the possibility of additional shifts. Every other weekend rotation is required, along with every other holiday. The traveler may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. GRH CPI/MOAB certification is required.
