Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12 or 4x12 shifts | Every other weekend required | On-call not required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6–1:7 while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, identifying and managing cardiac dysrhythmias as needed
• Float within scope to like units as required to meet facility staffing needs
• Attend required staff meetings and complete all assigned onboarding modules prior to start date
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) if applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Must complete all assigned facility modules by the Thursday prior to the start date
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records charting system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience working in a short-term acute care hospital environment
