Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Floating and census flex on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general Medical-Surgical inpatient nursing care within a standard patient ratio of 1:6
• Care for occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the Medical-Surgical floor
• Utilize the MedHost electronic medical records (EMR) system for documentation and patient management
• Participate in census flex on-call as needed prior to the start of a scheduled shift when census is low
• Float as required within the scope of the Medical-Surgical nursing role

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must be willing to comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements for all travelers
• Submitting agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Prior experience with MedHost EMR system
