Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across a float pool covering Medical-Surgical/Telemetry and specialty units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
- Manage an adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses spanning cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncological, renal, post-surgical, gynecological, psychiatric/detox, ENT, and general medicine conditions
- Titrate Heparin drips and operate respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 based on acuity, with support from nurse aides on unit
- Adhere to a leadership-set 6-week schedule, remaining flexible to fill scheduling gaps; fulfill 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week block and participate in holiday rotation as requested
- Complete a 1–2 day unit-specific orientation with a preceptor; must be on-site for the full week of orientation
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Demonstrated ability to titrate Heparin drips
- Experience working with adult and geriatric populations across a broad range of diagnoses
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a neuro nursing environment
- Experience in a float pool or multi-specialty setting
- Comfort floating to varying acuity levels including PCU/Stepdown or low-acuity ICU holds
