Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with a typical 1:4 patient ratio
• Care for post-operative patients including CABG, valve surgery, thoracotomy, vascular procedures, arrhythmia, CHF, post-cath, pacer, defibrillator, and ablation cases
• Manage cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
• Float to all inpatient units as needed based on census demands
• Accurately document patient care using electronic health record systems
• Adhere to all facility health and safety policies, including infection control protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of strong cardiac experience in a Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU setting
• Minimum 2 years of IMC, PCU, or Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips (required to advance in the interview process)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Epic charting experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one prior travel nursing assignment completed
• Ability to pass an EKG competency test within the first week of assignment
• Experience managing med/surg overflow patients including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem-Pop bypass cases
