Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 36–48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgeon and healthcare team to perform safe operations with optimal patient outcomes in the main operating room
• Practice perioperative nursing in the RNFA role, applying specialized knowledge, skill, and judgment specific to clinical practice in the operating room
• Assist in robotic surgical procedures including robotic urology, GYN, colorectal, surgical oncology, thoracic, and general surgery cases using the da Vinci robotic system
• Perform duties of OR staff RN, including scrubbing and circulating, when not assigned in the RNFA role
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities per unit need (until 11pm only) and rotating holiday requirements as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license — NY license required
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program through a college or university
• CNOR certification required
• Da Vinci robotic surgery experience required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
• Proficiency in perioperative nursing practice including scrubbing and circulating

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum two (2) years of operating room experience, preferably in a Level 1 trauma center
• ACLS certification through American Heart Association preferred
• Experience across multiple robotic surgical specialties including oncology procedures such as Whipple, gastrectomy, and hernia repair
