About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 years License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in Stepdown or ICU department Description: Position in Stepdown Intermediate Care. Shift involves working three 12-hour days. No call requirements for this position. Every other weekend is required. Travelers will float as needed. Holiday requirements include every other holiday. You must not request early time off in July. Guaranteed hours are 36 per week with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. First-time travelers are accepted. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Charting is done using Cerner Powerchart. The unit has a capacity of 22 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics with various diagnoses such as pneumonia, sepsis, and post-surgical care. Special procedures include management of chest tubes, post-cardiac angiograms, and neuro stepdown care. Candidates must be willing to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals based on volume or census needs. Module completion is required prior to the start of the assignment. Travelers must maintain professional conduct, as any issues may result in contract termination.
