About the Position

Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic Charting experience Description: Looking for an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a day shift position. BLS certification is required. ACLS certification is preferred. Two years of experience is necessary. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. The shift is 4x10 hours, with variable weekday scheduled shifts. Weekday night call shifts are 8 hours long, from 2300 to 0700. Weekend scheduled and call shifts range from 10 to 12 hours. Up to six shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule are expected. The patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 60. The conditions treated include Level II trauma, inpatient and outpatient procedures across various specialties. The facility supports an interdisciplinary approach with a team, including IV teams and rapid response teams. Candidates must be prepared to float within the hospital or to an affiliate nearby. Refusal to float may result in contract cancellation. Preferred experience includes charge experience and Level I or Level II trauma experience. A variety of surgical procedures will be performed, so familiarity with a broad skill set is essential. Candidates are also expected to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
