Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Cardiovascular)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiovascular Telemetry unit, which includes a 54-bed unit split across three 18-bed wings as well as an overflow unit
• Monitor and assess cardiovascular telemetry patients throughout assigned shifts
• Adhere to a flexible scheduling requirement, including every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights)
• Be available to work any holidays that fall within the assignment period
• Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing needs
• Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia or a compact license with proof provided at time of submittal
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
• Specialty experience in Telemetry or Cardiovascular Telemetry within the last year
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIH and stroke education background
• Flexible scheduling availability with minimal time-off requests during the assignment period
