Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse

Contract | Night Shift | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Orthopedic/Neurological Medical-Surgical unit that also accepts general medical overflow patients
• Perform neurological assessments and monitor telemetry, including interpretation of telemetry strips
• Manage a patient population that includes scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fracture patients, and general medical overflow
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Float to applicable units when requested based on census and staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience in a single location
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a travel nurse
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Neurological assessment skills
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Background in orthopedic or neurological patient care settings
