About the Position

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab for a 13-week travel assignment in Brick, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have recent Cath Lab experience and be skilled in assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures while delivering exceptional patient care before, during, and after procedures.

This role is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment and has experience with advanced cardiac interventions and hemodynamic support devices.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Monitor patient status and provide individualized nursing care throughout the procedure.
• Circulate during Cath Lab procedures, including pacemaker insertions.
• Operate and monitor specialized Cath Lab equipment.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Maintain patient safety while following evidence-based nursing practices.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide advanced cardiac life support when necessary.
• Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled.

Schedule

• Day Shift
• 40 Hours per Week
• On-call required (4 weekday call shifts plus one weekend call each month)
• One weekend on-call per month
• One summer holiday and one winter holiday on-call
• No floating required

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Telemetry competency/certification

• Cardiac Cath Lab circulating experience
• Left Heart Cath
• Right Heart Cath
• PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
• Impella
• Balloon Pump
• Mac-LAB
• EPIC documentation
• Pacemaker insertion procedures
• Pulmonary Embolism case experience

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Critical Care experience
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience
• Sensis experience
