Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients with acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform thorough patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient status
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms, promptly identifying and responding to abnormalities
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments accurately and safely
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital quality standards
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting positive patient outcomes

Requirements

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg and/or Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Current ACLS Certification preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and acute care nursing
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Ability to prioritize care for multiple patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
