About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience required. License: Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand. Certifications: Current American Red Cross BLS and ACLS required. Must-Have: Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start. Recent reference from a supervisor in the specialty required for submission. Description: All start date, scheduling information, and shift details need to be accurate and confirmed at time of submission. This information cannot be changed afterwards if an offer is presented. Minimum of 18 months permanent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience is a requirement. ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessments will be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores needed. Two recent references from a supervisor in the specialty applying for are required. Co-worker references will not be considered and profiles will be rejected if submitted. All required certifications must be active with nothing pending. A negative 10 panel drug screen, including nicotine, is required within 12 months of start. All travelers must be nicotine-free, except for specific healthcare roles temporarily exempt. Nurses and surgical techs are exempt from nicotine-free requirements until further notice. Candidates may extend with the client for a period of 18 months, after which a six month break is required. Modules are required for completion prior to start and will vary by specialty. Completion of required modules is billable up to four hours annually after one continuous year of contract.
