Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months of current Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience required License: Active nursing license in Iowa or compact/multistate Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Telemetry experience preferred - Experience with insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone drips required - Ability to read and measure telemetry strips required - Experience in orthopedic and general surgery care required - EPIC charting experience preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. This position involves working three 12-hour night shifts per week. The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients in a telemetry setting, including post-operative surgical patients. The patient care ratio is 5:1, with a bed size of 16 beds. The nurse will administer specific medications and manage various drips, including insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone. Candidates must have a strong foundation in both medical surgical and telemetry nursing. This role requires reading and interpreting telemetry strips.
