About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Not specified Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: 1 year of full-time experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room. Skillset to work in the Operating Room and Cardiovascular Operating Room. Scrubbing experience is required. Description: The unit has six surgical suites plus a hybrid room. They perform 20-30 cases per day on average. Common cases include total joints, general surgery, spine, urology, and cardiovascular for the open-heart team. There is a charge nurse present as a resource, along with specialty leads. A house supervisor is available on-site 24/7. Scrub techs are available for support. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Shifts may include on-call requirements with varying frequency. There is a call response time of 30 minutes. May be floated to other departments as needed, though this is rare. Hospital-provided scrubs are the dress code. The unit/department specific orientation will vary based on case load and exposure. Cancellation of shifts may occur according to the specified policy.
